Enchanted's Amy Adams has signed on to indie drama Daughter Of The Queen Of Sheeba, which will chronicle the life of National Public Radio correspondent Jacki Lyden.
Variety’s reporting that Adams will play Lyden, who was NPR’s first correspondent on the air following 9/11 and also sent dispatches back from Afghanistan.
Karen Croner has written the script based on the biography of the sae name.
Parental issues
The film will also tackle one of the book’s other big subjects: how Lyden used her mother’s madness to empower herself.
There’s no word on a director yet, and we’re not sure this is exactly the world’s most commercial-sounding film, but it’s certainly a fascinating story.
