Adrien Brody heads Cadillac Records

Alongside Jeffrey Wright

Brody has signed up to play legendary blues/R&B executive Leonard Chess in Sony’s Cadillac Records, which explores Chicago’s burgeoning record industry in the 1950s.

Writer-director Darnell Martin will corral the likes of Jeffrey Wright (as Muddy Waters), Columbus Short, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Cedric the Entertainer and Tammy Blanchard into the film, which kicks off shooting in March. Variety has all the sleeve notes.
