Alan Arkin will Get Smart
He’s reuniting with Steve Carell

Fresh from lifting the Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine, Alan Arkin is getting back into the comedy game for Get Smart, the movie version of the 1960’s US TV spy caper.
Steve Carell – who starred with Arkin in Sunshine – is taking the lead as Maxwell Smart, a bumbling secret agent who somehow manages to always solve his cases with a little help from his colleagues and some gadgetry. Arkin will play his boss, the chief of the organisation CONTROL, which battles the evil KAOS.
Boasting a cast that also now includes Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Anne Hathaway as Smart’s colleague Agent 99 and Terrence Stamp as a villain, Get Smart will start filming with The Longest Yard’s Peter Segal at the helm early next month.
