Alex O’Loughlin joining The Back-Up Plan
He’ll star opposite Jennifer Lopez

Alex O’Loughlin – last seen in August Rush – is signing on to star as Jennifer Lopez’ love interest in rom-com The Back-Up Plan.
The film finds Lopez as a lonely singleton who decides that artificial insemination is the way to go.
But her big plan backfires when she meets the man of her dreams (O’Loughlin) the day her pregnancy test comes back positive. 
O’Loughlin who spent a year playing a vampire on defunct US TV show Moonlight, will crop up this year playing opposite Kate Beckinsale in Whiteout, assuming that film actually arrives in cinemas.
Back-Up Plan starts shooting in May in LA with producer-turned-director Alan Poul at the helm.

So glad to see that Alex is getting another movie and going to be the lead in this one. He deserves it! Go Alex!!

I'm ready for an Alex O'Loughlin rom com! He is a very versatile and talented actor who is simply excellent in any role he portrays. This will be his first US feature film in which he has the lead role and his first romantic comedy. In addition to "Whiteout", we can also catch him this year as a serial killer in "Criminal Minds" (season 4, ep. 22) and he is finishing work on the CBS pilot "Three Rivers" this week. Can we have even more Alex please?

I am aso excited by these great news!!!! Alex is a gorgeous and talented actor.
He didn't appear on screen since the cabcellation of Moonlight and I believe that 2009 will be Alex's year.
He will be guest appearing on the Criminal Mind episode "The Big Wheel" on April 29, he is currently shooting in the CBS pilot "Three Rivers" (fingers crossed for 3R to be picked up for this fall), he will appear in "Whiteout" in September and with "The Backup Plan", he makes us fans so happy.
So go Alex, you so deserve it!!!!!!

What I am ready for is Alex O'Loughlin! I am thrilled that Alex is finally starting to get the recognition in the US that he deserves. This is a great year for Alex and his fans - his guest starring role on Criminal Minds on 4/29/09, his pilot for a new show called "Three Rivers", "WhiteOut" opens 9/25/09, and now this movie. I have all that Alex has done on DVD - TV and movies - and this brilliant actor never disappoints. He always outshines the rest of the cast, and I am sure that it will be no different with this film. No matter who Alex is cast with, I know that it will be wonderful. The biggest stars in Hollywood are going to be lining up to be cast with Alex O'Loughlin - and I will be the first in line to see his movies.
