Alfred Molina has signed up to play an evil magic-user in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice alongside Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel.
The story has been relocated to modern day New York and sees am average college student (Baruchel) agreeing to work for a sorcerer called Balthazar Blake (Cage).
Blake schools him in the art of magic, which comes in handy when he has to battle dark forces - including Molina’s Horvath.
With Bedtime Stories’ Theresa Palmer on board as Baruchel’s love interest, director Jon Turteltaub will kick off shooting later this month in NYC.
