Amy Adams visiting the Museum

She’s joining Stiller for another Night...

When Ben Stiller’s kiddie comedy A Night At The Museum took off at the box office, you could already hear the creak of studio brains gearing up to get a sequel in place.

Well, now they have a plot – some of the living artefacts of the museum are shipped off to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington and Stiller goes with them – and they have a co-star for him.

Amy Adams, fresh from an acclaimed turn in Enchanted, will play what Variety is calling “an undetermined historical figure (Joan Of Arc? Hitler?) in the comedy, which Museum helmer Shawn Levy will start cranking out this year ready for a summer slot in 2009. We bet the monkey negotiates for more bananas this time.
