It's a performance capture film. Peter Jackson is directing. And we're only surprised it took this long to announce Serkis' involvement.
What he's actually going to be doing has yet to be revealed, but we'll be bellowing blistering barnacles if he's not playing Tintin's mate and Serkis lookalike, Captain Haddock.
Tintin is aiming for a 2009 release.
