Anne Hathaway joins Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar

She’ll star opposite Matthew McConaughey

Christopher Nolan has added another A-list name to forthcoming sci-fi thriller Interstellar, with Anne Hathaway signing on to take the female lead.

She’ll be starring in an unspecified role opposite Matthew McConaughey, who revealed he had been cast in the project last week.

The casting continues Nolan’s trend of working with the same core group of actors across multiple films, with the director and actress clearly striking up an accord on The Dark Knight Rises.

Plot details remain very scarce regarding Interstellar, suffice to say that the film will be based around the scientific study of wormholes, and their potential for facilitating time travel.

Jonathan Nolan’s script will follow a scientific research mission into space, where presumably, the above theories will come into play. The film opens in the US on 7 November 2014, with a UK date to be confirmed.

Schwing. Nolan usually likes to cast actors who've previously worked with him so this isn't a surprise. Guy Pearce is due a collaboration with Chris.
