Arnold Schwarzenegger is back for more Terminator

Justin Lin directing new film

arnie

Arnie wasn’t kidding when he said he’d be back; the Austrian Oak has just signed on to make another Terminator movie.

With his tenure as ‘Governator’ of California over, speculation has been rife over which project Arnie would choose to head back to the movies with.

Now, Deadline confirms that the 63-year-old is sticking with what he knows by returning to the franchise that first made him a household name.

Having signed on to resurrect his Terminator character, Schwarzenegger is now shopping the project around Tinseltown with director Justin Lin in search of studio backing.

Lin’s Fast Five opens this Friday and is expected to be a massive success. If that prophecy is fulfilled, you can bet a studio will jump at a new Terminator film within minutes.

As yet there’s no word on how Arnie and co intend on continuing the franchise, though presumably they’ll be dumping Terminator Salvation director McG’s plans for a trilogy.

Terminator? Or terminate? Are you excited or disappointed that Arnie's chosen to make another Terminator movie? Drop us your thoughts below...

The rights revert back to James Cameron in 2018. There's still time for at least a couple more c**p Terminator movies by then.:(

it could kinda work if he played a beaten-up, falling-apart frankenstein's monster type with an obsolete directive, a little bit Bicentennial Man, a bit Ai, for about 5 minutes
