Ashley Greene signs on for Skateland

Twilight co-star joins indie drama

Ashley Greene, soon to be the envy of many a young girl as she co-stars in Twilight, has joined the cast of Anthony Burns indie drama Skateland.

It’s an ‘80s-set coming-of-age tale which finds Ritchie Wheeler (Shiloh Fernandez) looking for a job when his small-town roller rink is shut down, says The Hollywood Reporter.

But it’s not just his skating dreams that must change (especially tough given than name): the job loss affects all his relationships with his friends.

Ensemble cast

Also on board in the film’s hefty ensemble are Heath Freeman (who co-wrote the movie), Taylor Handley and James LeGros.

Burns aims to start shooting next week in Louisiana.
