Avengers teaser online

See all the big screen Avengers, together at last...

Marvel, in a surprise move to get bums back on cinema seats for Captain America: The First Avenger, have released the final scene of that film, with a teaser (or teaser teaser) trailer for The Avengers tagged on the end.

The 48-second clip, while not giving away the whole end scene of Captain America, is still a bit of a spoiler, and gives some insight into how The Avengers will follow on from it.

The full Avengers teaser can still only be seen in the cinema, but this clip still gives us a quick look at all the major players.

Marvel are usually very protective of their post-credit trailers, so this marks a departure in tact, but may well prove fruitful in getting those seats re-filled. We're certainly very excited by it.

So what do we see of The Avengers? Well, take a look for yourselves:

So there’s a brief shot of all the heroes, a call to arms from Samuel L Jacksons’ Nick Fury, and Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark remarking on Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth's) ‘mean swing.’

To cap it off we see Thor's mean swing in action as he chucks his massive hammer at the screen.

Otherwise we get to see the re-designed Captain America and Thor costumes, and that's about it, but seeing them all together for the first time is enough to raise hype levels in anticipation of the inevitably massive movie.

Does the trailer get you excited? Think Marvel have played a blinder with this unusual move? Or have the studio dropped the ball by giving away the ending to Captain America? Swing your opinions this way...

Was fairly annoyed at this, since I'm off to see Captain America tomorrow night, and as with all the latest Marvel movies was quite excited about what the post-credits scene would be....until it was released online and I've now seen floods of pictures of it all over the internet, thus ruining all surprise I would've had at it.

@chaosdefined I just got back from seeing CA (which was great by the way) and what you see here is a very small snippet of what you see after the end credits. Dont be too disheartened. Would have liked a bit of Hulk though. Is that Banner in the background of the pic above??

@dalidab The clip above is part of the end of the film and then a short version of what you see at the end of the credits. Film is great!!

Wow, you know, not every movie goer is 10 years old. The fact that The Avengers will even exist is sad.

Just seen the film which i really enjoyed, but i would advise anyone interested in this to not spoil it and wait to watch the teaser at the end Credits. It was a fanboys dream seeing them all on screen together and it is a much better teaser than the one thats online. On a side note, I have to say that even if you're not interested in seeing the Avengers, surely you must, ahem, marvel, at the sheer ambition of it. Tying together six major movies together into one Universe is a risky thing to do - if it doesn't work it could affect all of the other seperate films. It's something that is in short supply in Hollywood at the moment - doing something that hasn't been done before. I know theres a zillion superhero movies out there, but bringing characters from a bunch of different films together is something we've rarely seen. I can't wait to see how its gonna turn out.

I don't think it gives too much away, honestly. If you knew even a little bit about CA the character before going to the movie you knew a bit about what has to happen. Plus it isn't the full clip. And I definitely wouldn't be averse to a second CA movie, if they did one. This one was excellent. :) I do have one concern about one of the other movies, though...**SPOILER ALERT**: Are they going to explain how Thor gets back to Earth in the Avengers movie? Cause you know he does, but even a small scene to explain how would be good.

The Hulk movie already did but with Norton. There isn't going to be a Hawkeye movie until at least after the Avengers, but it's unlikely.

I saw Captain America this morning, loved it and was like a little kid in a candy store when the teaser trailer came on after the end credits. I wasn't going to stay until the end of the credits but my son wanted to, soooo glad I did. I can't wait for the Avengers movie.
