Saw director James Wan has decided to take a break from the sadistic tricks of Jigsaw and focus on a whole new way for people to spill blood.
Specifically, he’s recruited Kevin Bacon to play a loving father who goes all Death Wish on a gang who murders his son. While it’s played for hard-edged revenge grit, we can’t help but chuckle at the image of John Goodman as the gun dealer who provides Bacon with his hardware – it’s almost as if The Big Lebowski’s Walter found his dream job.
Death Sentence comes down on us all on 31 August, but you can see the trailer here.
