Bangkok Dangerous tops US box office

It’s a weak weekend in the States

When they write the history of 2008’s American box office weekends, this one will go down with a giant “meh” plastered all over it.

The Nic Cage remake of Bangkok Dangerous topped the chart this week, but took just $7.8 million.

Still, it was enough to push it just ahead of Tropic Thunder, which saw in its fourth weekend with $7.5 million.

In third place The House Bunny earned $5.9 million. The Dark Knight came in next, making $5 million. Here’s the rest of the chart in full:
