Bay pens Transformers 2!

Mike’s been at the keyboard

Clearly, Michael Bay wasn’t aware that the whole point of the writers’ strike was that movies don’t get written to make sure the studios pay up. Still, he’s not a WGA member, so he can do what he likes, and at least he’s only been scribbling outlines and brainstorming action sequences to hand off to Ehren Kruger, Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci now they can get to work in this post-strike world.

"I've been writing Transformers 2," Bay blabbed to Rotten Tomatoes. "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that."

It could still all be part of his planned campaign of sneaky misinformation, but we doubt it. Hit up Rotten Tomatoes for all Bay’s words, and worry that the Transformers sequel will be just a load of superb action with a script stretched between them. So, business as usual then!
