Jessica Biel will be giving the boys a run for their money in this year’s A-Team flick, but that doesn’t mean she’s done being an action heroine.
The actress has reportedly signed on to star in and produce a rape revenge film called Mob Girl.
Pajiba report that she would play a mob mistress who is raped and never escapes the demons that event creates. She infiltrates the mob to gather evidence against her attacker, a crime bross, and send him to jail.
Based on the true life story of Arlyn Brickman, and Teresa Carpenter’s book Mob Girl, the film looks set to be directed by An Education’s Lone Scherfig.
The Danish director has previously expressed an interest in shooting a gangster film, so this would be a perfect fit for her.
Earlier this year, Scherfig told the LA Times that “exploring the criminal mind is truly interesting and something I haven’t done. I’m interested in someone more violent and more flawed.”
At present a writer is being sought, but with Biel and Scherfig attached it surely won’t be long before this gets a greenlight.
