Bill Murray has revealed that he will be appearing in the upcoming Ghostbusters 3 film - as a ghost.
In an article with the Mail on Sunday, Murray revealed that his character Dr. Peter Venkman will have a small role to play in the hotly anticipated sequel.
However Murray made it clear that the only way he was going to appear in the next installment was as a deceased Ghostbuster;
"I'll come back in Ghostbusters 3 only if I get to be a ghost. I said to them, 'I'll do it if you kill me off in the first reel.' So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film."

Everyone knows the old adage 'Some Murray is better than no Murray' - so this is great news for fans nervous about the reboot.
Murray's hilarious improv made the first two films, and after his Zombieland shenanigans, it's still more than evident that Bill has the right stuff - even with limited screen time.
Total Film is now officially excited.
Will Murray be the ghost with the most? Or is Ghostbusters 3 toast? Let us know...

As long as it's better than Ghostbusters 2.. That should have been one of his regrets!

I commented on the article you posted. Here's my philosophy: If you want to cross a bridge, don't burn it first. That's what this "Dead Peter Venkman" stuff has done. If they want for somebody to buy a movie ticket, then they need give a GOOD reason to see it. You know what they say about first impressions.....
