A new trailer has arrived online for the new Fargo TV series, with the Coen brothers’ classic film having been adapted into a ten-part drama.
Martin Freeman is the star of the show here, playing the downtrodden insurance salesman who finds himself in increasingly hot water as he strays onto the wrong side of the law.
Meanwhile, Billy-Bob Thornton also appears as a malevolent drifter, whose influence starts to sour the well in the small Minnesotan town in which the story is set.

While many of the characters and story beats appear to be directly lifted from the film, the new story is set to head off on its own diversions, with the series serving as more of a companion piece than a direct adaptation.
Co-starring the likes of Colin Hanks, Bob Odenkirk, Adam Goldberg and Oliver Platt, Fargo will air in the States on 15 April 2014, and will be screened in the UK on Channel 4, shortly after.
