Birds Eye View Film Festival, a forum in which female filmmakers are celebrated, has opened its doors to fledgling filmers who would like their work showed at the 2011 event.
The festival, which launched as a short film event in 2002 and then became the UK’s first major women’s festival in 2005, are looking for short film submissions from female filmmakers the world over.
Opening on 6 March 2011 with a special gala screening of short films, the festival is held at the Institute Of Contemporary Arts.
Other activities will include retrospective screenings, live music, workshops and master-classes, and Q&As with women who work in film.
Submissions are welcome until 5 November. For more information, head over to the festival’s official website.
