Kevin Bacon, Sophie Okonedo and James Franco will have to find something else to fill their calendars for August, because they won’t be doing what they planned – shooting cop thriller Black Water Transit.
The reason? Star Vin Diesel has jumped ship as the film was gearing up to shoot. Crew members had begun to set up offices in the Chicago locations and the movie had a big, flashing green light.
There was no reason given – nobody from the film has commented yet, despite the order to shut it down being given around the middle of the month. According to the city’s film authorities, the production company has said they plan to return once a new lead actor has been found. Vin, Vin, Vin… This is no way to win friends and influence people.
