Bond 24 and Bond 25 to "build on Skyfall"

Writer John Logan talks plans for sequels

Since the confirmation that Sam Mendes would return to direct Bond 24, we haven’t heard much news on the follow-up to Skyfall, but now an interview with writer John Logan gives us some insight into what we can expect from the next two Bond films.

Talking to IGN, Logan said of the next Bond outing: “My goal is to write a great movie that's appropriate, to build on what we did on Skyfall, but make it its own unique animal.

"The themes, ideas and the characters from Skyfall can obviously continue on, because it is a franchise, and it is an ongoing story. So I think there's resonance from Skyfall in the new movie."

Following news that the rights to classic Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld have returned to Eon, the production company behind Bond, there have been rumours that he might appear in the next instalment of the franchise, but Logan is staying tight-lipped.

"You know, I think our villain's appropriate to the story we're telling."

Looking forward to seeing Sir Ralph Fiennes as M, and Naome Harris as Monypenny Schwing!

Sorry but mentioning Blofeld instantly makes me think of Dr Evil. I hope they give the iconic villain a new twist and style this time.
