Someone obviously told Brad Pitt to get lost recently and he’s taken it to heart. Well, okay, he’s just nabbed the rights to David Grann’s non-fiction tome about British explorer Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett, who struck out in 1925 to find the fabled City of Z.
Fawcett never returned and lots of explorers tried to retrace his steps in the decades that followed, but no one ever found a trace of the man.
Pitt will produce the eventual film through his Plan B company and may star, with Paramount signed on to splash the cash. Now what he needs is a writer and a director. And a map.
