Bradley Cooper confirmed as Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Rocket Raccoon

He’ll voice the pint-sized critter

It has long been rumoured that Bradley Cooper would be the next big name to join the cast of Guardians Of The Galaxy, and sure enough, the star has been confirmed as the voice of Rocket Raccoon.

“Rocket Raccoon has finally found his voice,” gurgles an official press release from Marvel, revealing that the Hangover star will be lending his tones to the anthropomorphised raccoon.

Cooper joins Vin Diesel on voice-acting duties, with the latter set to voice a similarly colourful character in the form of Groot the talking tree.

Diesel has yet to receive the official stamp of confirmation from Marvel, but at this stage, it’s pretty much an open secret that he has joined the cast.

Directed by James Gunn and co-starring the likes of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Benicio Del Toro and Glenn Close, Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in the UK on 1 August 2014.
