Brand new Godzilla poster reveals the scale of the monster

The giant lizard stomps into Comic-Con 2013

Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla movie has released a new poster online, showcasing the colossal size of the monster.

The film’s official Twitter account revealed the new poster, to tie in with its imminent arrival at Comic-Con 2013. While you don’t get to see Godzilla’s face on the new one-sheet, you do get to see his ginormous spiny tail.

It’s hard to image those surrounding helicopters making much of an impact…

Check out the poster in full below:

Directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Godzilla opens in the UK on 16 May 2014.

Have high hopes for this one - saw Pacific Rim and loved it so hope Legendary Pictures gets this right too. Good start getting Gareth Edwards to make it (like Del Toro doing Pacific Rim) as these movies only work when an actual artist is behind the camera. I have learned to walk away whenever certain "filmmakers" names are attached to movies in the sci-fi/fantasy genres e.g Louis Leterrier, McG, Bay, Liebesman etc. No talent company boys who just like to count the money.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Gareth saw Pacific Rim.
