Brett Ratner considers The Incredible Shrinking Man

A sci-fi comedy…

It’s Brett Ratner and Eddie Murphy… together at last! Come back, it’s only “in talks” at the moment and Murphy has been trying to get this thing off the ground for years.

Yes, Brett Ratner is the latest director eyeing the big chair for the remake of The Incredible Shrinking Man. This new version of the 1957 sci-fi pic would see Murphy as a Las Vegas magician cursed with a shrinking spell who must find a way to reverse it before he becomes microscopic.

Will this latest version fly? Will everyone point to Honey I Shrunk The Kids as the ultimate remake anyway? Stay tuned. The Hollywood Reporter has been using its news microscope.
