Bryan Singer has tweeted what looks to be a new piece of concept art for blue-furred badass Beast, with the character’s design having undergone a subtle change for X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
The new-look Beast seems to have more human definition in his facial features, and is more recognisably Nicholas Hoult than the more overtly bestial incarnation we saw in the last film.
For our money, it looks a definite upgrade on the First Class version, which looked a tiny bit silly at times. Beast is less of a teddy bear this time around, and all the better for it.
Singer unveiled the new image accompanied by the caption, “Many a monster wears the form of a man; it is better of the two to have the heart of a man & the form of a monster”. That’s deep, man…
Co-starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Peter Dinklage, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 18 July 2014.
