Bryan Singer teases Quicksilver with new image from X-Men: Days Of Future Past

Welcome to the Maximoff residence

Bryan Singer’s latest image from the set of  X-Men: Days Of Future Past has arrived on Twitter, and it teases one of the most recent additions to his sprawling cast.

The new image features a family home with a mailbox sporting the name “Maximoff”, instantly recognisable to serious fans as the abode of one Pietro Maximoff, better known as Quicksilver.

Much has been made of Quicksilver’s addition to the film, particularly since Joss Whedon has also written the character into his script for The Avengers 2.

As you might have guessed, Maximoff’s mutant ability is super-speed, although which of the film’s two timelines he will be employing it in remains to be seen. That house looks fairly period-neutral, so no clues there...

Directed by Singer and co-starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 23 May 2014.

So lame. Shame on Singer for rushing Quicksilver into DOFP.

I would sooner see Quciksilver first in Xmen than Avengers. Also I think he will be in the team with Ian Mckellen, otherwise surely hed just be a 6 year old with Michael Fassbender?

@Gindalf - yeah, cos they wouldn't change with character timelines or backgrounds to fit a film.... I mean, seriously, how lame would it be to have, say, Cyclops' younger brother star in a movie set before Cyclops was born.... uh, never mind...
