Warners' fairy tale update The Girl With The Red Riding Hood has just landed a possible director - in the shape of Twilight's Catherine Hardwicke.
She's added the film to an ever-increasing development plate that already includes a new version of Hamlet, novel adaptation If I Stay and TV remake 21 Jump Street.
There's one new plot wrinkle in Red Riding Hood - a planned re-telling of the tale with added gothic overtones and a proper werewolf - with word that it'll also feature a teenage love triangle.
Hhhm: teenage angst issues and fantastical creatures? It does sound like material she's familiar with...

well Twilight was s**t so, no. I'm surprised Tim Burton hasn't already added it to his 'things to do' list
