Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan star in first image from Scary Movie 5

Publicity still plays up the cameos

The first image has arrived from the tepidly-awaited comedy sequel Scary Movie 5, featuring troubled stars Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan sharing a bed together.

In much the same way as The Three Stooges heavily played up its Jersey Shore cameos in the trailer, Scary Movie 5 seems to be basing its promotional push around its high-profile guest stars.
Whether or not it turns out to be as surprisingly serviceable as the Stooges movie remains to be seen, but what can be guaranteed is that the pair’s opening scene will be “outrageous, sexy and hilarious”. At least that’s what Dimension’s press department are saying.
Rumours had been claiming that Lohan herself was keen to drop out of the project, suffering “walking pneumonia” and missing meetings before the Weinsteins had a private jet pick her up and personally fly her to the set! As Lohan's camp vehemently deny the allegations, we can probably put this down to colourful rumour-mongering.
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee and starring Ashley Tisdale as Anna Faris’ replacement, Scary Movie 5 opens in the US on 19 April 2013. A UK date has yet to be confirmed...

Will you be going to see the movie? Tell us, below!

This franchise died a long time ago. The studio don't care that the film is gonna be bad, they're just after audience's money. Well they're not getting mine!

The franchise has become a parody of a parody and that never works, ugh, the least exciting film announced for 2013 by far!

i suppose a tiny, sliver of a silver lining is that a UK release date has yet to be confirmed. Hopefully they'll forget all about dear old Blighty and this tragomedy (like a dramady, only a comedy without any laughs) will pass us by.

I'd rather eat my own arsehole than watch this. Actually, if I filmed myself eating my own arsehole, it'd be a more entertaining movie than this one.

Is Charlie Sheen playing himself? Because his character died in the last movie, so I suppose he'd have to be
