With every horror icon under the sun getting smartened up and repackaged for a new audience of gore-hungry teens, it's no surprise that Chucky will be getting another outing in the long-mooted remake of Child's Play.
Moviehole collared the man responsible for Chucky's vocals, Brad Dourif, at the recent Mad Monster Party convention, where the star confirmed that not only is a remake in the works, but also a sequel!
This new episode in the long-running franchise will be titled Revenge Of Chucky, and will again focus on the killer doll's immediate family, in a similar vein to Bride Of Chucky and Seed Of Chucky.
As for the remake, Dourif indicated that original writer Don Mancini is still working on script, with the theme thought to be a lot lighter and comedic than the original.
Dourif confirmed he had been tapped to supply the voice for both films, although how close either project is to production remains to be seen. However, next year marks the 25th anniversary of the original film's release, so don't be surprised if we're seeing more of Chucky sooner rather than later.

Tbh I really liked childs play 1-2 and Bride was awesome as well, 3 was ok but Seed had too much comedy in it defiantly welcome a remake of the original, and if they can make 6 more about horror rather than comedy it could work...

Enough with the remakes already! There are plenty of writers with good original ideas out there ... just the movie execs are idiots! Remake something good into c**p & put it in 3D. BTW, 3D c**p is still c**p. As far as a sequel goes, that could work, but it's not really necessary. I actually like Bride of Chucky & Seed of Chucky since Mancini realized that audiences had moved past the '80s & stuck to camp schlock. He knew to keep it humorous.

Child's Play was good B movie fun, but there's no point in trying to remake something like this. It lived from the once original idea and it had its time. And that was years ago. Get some fresh ideas Hollywood. How can youu be so desperate even remaking stuff that didn't bring in the big bucks? And apart from 3D they'll probably even make Chucky CGI in the remake.

yea on other websited theyre always talkin s**t about bride and seed i kinda want them to make a sequel from where it left off the end leaves u hangin and i hate when movies do tht cause they make u sit there and think will there b a sequel? if they do make a sequel will it continue or will they change it up? it leaves u confused, and as a horror movie lover i cnt wait for this movie they have brought back the rest of the classics i wanna c if they take chucky and tif to an all new level thank u movie producers and i gotta love u hatrs to my favorite horror movie so f**k u guys;)
