A new clip has emerged online from Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave in which Chiwetel Ejiofor ponders the reality of his new situation.
Ejiofor plays Solomon Northup in the new film, an educated man living in 19th Century New York who finds himself tricked into captivity by a pair of slavers.
The clip shows him discussing his predicament with fellow slaves Michael K. Williams and Chris Chalk, both of whom advise him to keep his head down, much to Northup’s chagrin…
