Nothing Is Safe From The Remake Brush, Part 8654: Cliffhanger is being remade.
Yes, Renny Harlin’s 1993 big-budget, low-brain power action adventure thriller set on a mountain is now lined up for a reboot by independent StudioCanal and Fast & Furious producer Neal Moritz.
"Just as they rebooted Star Trek, we're going to do the same with Cliffhanger," Moritz told Variety.
The original, which was shot in Italy (but was set in the Colorado Rockies), saw Sylvester Stallone as former park ranger Gabe Walker, a man grieving over the climbing death of his partner's girlfriend.
When he’s contacted about helping to find a group of apparently stranded people, he’s tricked into aiding criminals find their missing loot.
There’s no word on who will be taking over the Stallone (or whether they’ll try to replicate John Lithgow’s gloriously OTT villain, above), but apparently the pic will take place across several cliffs.
Cliff Richard need not apply.

Would you watch a rebooted Cliffhanger? Or would you leave it dangling?

Not being picky But he was grieving over his climbing partners girlfriend, not his. Anyway, i say no to a remake, the original is classic 90's cheese!

Partner's girlfriend, his girlfriend... It was the '90s, on a mountain... anything went. In other words - error alert! Fixed, thanks.
