Clive Owen joins Cartagena

He’ll star in the undercover drug drama

Clive Owen has signed on to the lead in 2929 Productions’ Cartagena, the tale of an agent working undercover in Colombia’s drug cartels.

Owen will play the officer, who becomes trapped between the country’s top drug dealers and fellow international agents and ends up fighting for is life.

If you’re wondering where that title comes from, The Hollywood Reporter has it that it’s named for a city on Colombia’s coast known for putting its war-torn history behind it to create a bustling tourist business.

Michael Ross

Turistas writer Michael Ross has been hired to write the script for the film, which should start shooting next year.
