Clooney considering The Descendants
George may sign on to Alexander Payne's latest

George Clooney is seriously considering the lead in Alexander Payne's new dramedy, The Descendants.
If he signs on, he'll play a wealth landowner who ropes his daughters in the search for his wife's lover so that he can try to keep his family from falling apart.
Payne intends to shoot the film - with a script by Jim Rash and Nat Faxon, based on Kaui Hart Hemmings' novel - in Hawaii next February.
Which sounds like as good a reason to join the film as any - that and a chance for Clooney to complete another line of his Indie Auteurs bingo card...
