It was a successful weekend at the American box office this weekend if you were an animated 'toon as Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs topped the charts with $30.1 million.

Steven Soderbergh's latest, comedy drama The Informant! nabbed second place, taking home $10.5 million, while Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself slipped down to third with $10 million.

It wasn't such a good weekend for rom com Love Happens, as even the starring power of Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart couldn't boost the film above fourth and $8.4 million.

Finally, Jennifer's Body couldn't ride the Megan Fox ride - flopping into fifth place and taking just $68 million  - though given that it cost an affordable $16 million, that's not a huge tragedy for its earning power.
