Prince Caspian star Ben Barnes is already attached to Oliver Parker’s new adaptation of The Picture Of Dorian Gray, but while he’ll be playing the central character - a young lord tempted and seduced into a hedonistic lifestyle who never ages while a picture of him suffers the damage instead – there are plenty of other characters in Oscar Wilde’s satirical horror.
Colin Firth has just signed on to play the most important one – Lord Henry Wotton, the man who first corrupts Gray. The film started shooting this week and The Hollywood Reporter is having its picture painted.
