Another new poster has appeared for Super 8, this time with a more retro feel to it.
The film follows a group of friends who, in 1979, witness a train crash and then notice strange goings-on in their town, which they begin to investigate.
The new hand drawn poster is reminiscent of posters from (Super 8 Producer) Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones films and The Goonies, which he also produced.
For a film that owes so much to The Beard, this poster is an awesomely fitting homage.

Super 8 opens in the UK on 5 August 2011.

Absolutely beautiful homage, I feel nostalgic just looking at it. The inclusion of the lens flare is what completely sells it though, nothing says JJ quite like lens flare...

I'm actually getting quite bored of this film already.

Yeah, it looks just like a poster from back in the day, but does it look like a good poster from back in the day? No, it doesn't.

I absolutely love this poster, it fits the tone of the film so much better than the bog standard posters so far with the Super 8 camera with lens flare and title.
