Could Batman Vs Superman feature two different Batsuits?

Hot on the heels of Jennifer Garner's revelation that she's already seen the "unbelievably cool" Batman Vs Superman Batsuit comes news that Ben Affleck could actually wear two different Batman costumes in the film.

That's according to scoop site Latino Review, which reports that a grey-and-blue suit has already been designed, with a second costume in the making.

Reports scooper Marvelous Dave: "The [most] interesting thing I've heard is that Batman will actually wear 2 Bat-suits in the film... Grey-and-Blue has already been designed and Affleck has worn it."

That'll be the one Garner's seen, then. So what about the other one? Could it be a prototype or DIY effort a la Spider-Man?

According to LR, quite the opposite, with the second suit coming fully-armoured with silver/white plates – all the better to go up against a near-invincible alien like Superman.

The armoured suit is said to have been inspired by the Bat's costume in graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, while the grey and blue number is reportedly based on Jim Lee's Batman: Hush design.

All of which sounds very exciting, and really does seem to be taking the Bat in a new direction after Christopher Nolan's defining caped crusader trilogy.

Man Of Steel 2: Batman Vs Superman opens in cinemas on 6 May 2016.

Think it's only right that Batman has the right to choose? Tell us below...

I'll be honest, why i read the Hush graphic novel i thought to myself that the Bat-suit design in it would be the one that could be adapted to the sceen the best, so looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Two Batsuits, one of them silver/white. It's Batman and Robin all over again. Made to sell toys.

Look, I know why you report on this stuff and it's as much my fault for clicking on the link as you for writing it - but this sort of thing really ruins the magic of movies. 2 batsuits being designed? In pre-production? The story bounced around every film site within minutes, as if it matters...?

The problem with the concept of it being some kind of physical contest is ludicrous. As a character, Superman is too powerful to be interesting when combating any mere mortal on Earth, unless they have unlimited resources AND are evil enough to put lives in jeopardy all over the World, to keep Superman whizzing all over the place. This is why his greatest foes are extra terrestrial super beings or magical creatures who can match his speed & strength. The other option is always the old Kryptonite gag. Weaken Superman so that he's a mere mortal. But at that point, he ceases to be Superman. He's effectively just 'man' in an outfit. Oh to be sure, he still has those Kansas farmer / Kryptonian moral values and decency, not to forget his superior intellect, but essentially, he's just a good man, not a Super man. So, unless Bruce Wayne develops a Kryptonite suit, which can extend the effects over an extended area, then he's pretty much toast. In Man of Steel, Superman was still able to destroy the teraforming machine, despite being weakened by the Kryptonian atmosphere surrounding it. I'm more excited to see how clever the writers are going to be, than the props etc. Because the story will need to be much tighter than MOS, which had so many ridiculous plot holes and stupid situations. I wish them all the best, because it's going to be a tight balancing act.

If I remember rightly, in the classic Dark Knight story (graphic novel, not the film) doesn't Bats use a suit that is laced with Kryptonite? And as Supes batters Batman, the stuff starts to leak and make things worse for him, so he daren't even hit Batman? It's been a long time since I've read it, but I'm sure the suit had Kryptonite as part of it's construct or was maybe even powered by the stuff.

Doesn't Batman develop some sort of Kryptonite arrow that he gives Green Arrow to shoot into Superman?

I have a feeling that Kryptonite will feature somehow in the film and will be a means to help Batman (and as you mentioned @Ali1748 maybe Green Arrow too) in taking Supes down. I don't think two suits will be the end of the world, as long as neither suit has leather nipples on it!!
