Cruise wants to go back to comedy

“I'll do more if it presents itself," says star

It seems Tropic Thunder has rekindled a love of comedy in Tom Cruise. The star has now said he would do more if the opportunity arose.

"Well, I'm always looking for something new, and Ben's (Stiller) movie is hilarious," Cruise told Entertainment Wise.

"He and I are old friends, and he is a really good director, so originally I said I'd do it just for friendship. But it turned out great.” We’d have to agree.

"I actually love comedy,” he continued, “and I did it in Risky Business, so I'll do more if it presents itself."

Is Tom Cruise 'returning' to comedy a good idea? We personally thought he was hilarious in Rain Man and Jerry Maguire, but they’re hardly comic capers. What do you think? Let us know, below.
