Dakota Fanning is My Sister's Keeper

And Elle Fanning is that sister…

Is any film powerful enough to withstand the mighty onslaught of double the usual Fanning power?

Many have fallen, but Nick Cassavetes thinks he and his adaptation of Jodi Picoult’s novel My Sister’s Keeper are just the job for the Fanning siblings.

Elle’s playing a girl who decides to sue for emancipation from her parents (including mother Cameron Diaz) when she discovers that she was conceived as a genetic match to try and save her cancer-sufferer sister (Dakota)’s life.

With Jeremy Leven having scribbled the script, Cassavetes will tempt the fates and bring both Fannings to the set in March. Don’t blame us if a hell portal opens up under Los Angeles. And more to the point, who’d notice anyway?
