Dakota Fanning joins The Runaways
The Kristen Stewart-starring Joan Jett biopic

Dakota Fanning is in final talks to join The Runaways, the biopic of singer Joan Jett that already stars Kristen Stewart.
If she does sign, she’ll play lead singer Cheri Currie, who fronted the band at the tender age of 15.
And in true rock ‘n’ roll style, she ended up caught in a hard-partying lifestyle of drink and drugs. Presumably Fanning will be getting some method acting experience in hitting the town with Lindsay Lohan.
Floria Sigismondi penned the script and will call the shots later this year.
Buried in Variety’s report is the fact that Fanning has also officially been cast in the role of tiny-yet-lethal vampire Jane in Twilight sequel New Moon. Someone’s in for a busy year…
