Buried as a tiny mention in this Hollywood Reporter piece on Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard’s Cabin In The Woods and the Red Dawn remake was this word about MGM’s developing RoboCop redo.
Seems that Darren Aronofsky – the same man who brought us Pi, Requiem For A Dream and The Fountain – might actually be considering an attempt to remake one of the all-time great sci-fi satires/’80s movie legends.
He’s usually a man who works with his own material (or, as with his currently shooting The Fighter, based on biographical work), but he has been into cult adaptations before, flirting with both Batman: Year One and Watchmen. Just what would Darren Aronofsky’s RoboCop look like? You know, we really want to find out now…
