Dave Gibbons visits the set of Watchmen

Watchmen artist arrives on set

It must be pretty gratifying to see people and places that once only existed in your mind come to life right in front of you. Actually, it is gratifying. How do we know? Dave Gibbons told us.

Speaking on Warners' Watchmen website, Gibbons describes the surreal experience of meeting men from his imagination. "I'm standing amongst them. Nite Owl shakes my hand. The Comedian slaps me on the back. Silk Spectre smiles a dazzling greeting. I'm overwhelmed by the depth and detail of what I'm seeing."

It's a short piece, but Gibbons demonstrates a way with words that'd make his old mate Alan Moore jealous.

We reckon you should probably go and read the lot, then keep checking it, 'cause, tantalisingly, it's called Dave Gibbons visits the set - part 1 of 2.
