Fight Club director to bring adult 'toon to cinemas

It sounds like the sort of story we'd make up during a fever dream, but then you would've said that about the Fight Club musical and that seems to be real.
 
David Fincher apparently wants to bring 'erotic and violent' adult cartoon Heavy Metal back to the big screen, using different directors for each of the eight or nine segments.
 
We'll follow this one closely, but we remember the last time a bunch of directors got together to geek out on an 'erotic and violent' project. That was Grindhouse. It was brilliant. But no-one went to see it.
