David Fincher rounds up The Goon

Adapting the cult comic as a CG ‘toon…

Never a man to shy away from using CG in his films, David Fincher, it appears, is getting heavily involved in CG for animation too.

He’s already contributing a segment to a planned update of the Heavy Metal cartoon film and now he’s working with animation team Blur Studios to produce a CGI cartoon based on Eric Powell’s comic The Goon.

The Dark Horse book finds a heavily muscled character working as an enforcer for a powerful mobster, in a world filled with ghosts, zombies and mad scientists. Powell himself will write the script.

The Hollywood Reporter is muscling in on the action.
