David Gordon Green to direct Q

Pineapple Express director tackles time travel

Pineapple Express and Your Highness director David Gordon Green is up for the challenge of tackling one of the odder film premises on the horizon.

To be adapted from the Even Mandery novel, Q tells the story of a young man visited by his future self on his wedding day who warns him not to marry his fiancée, Q. He listens. Cue (sorry) a flux of future selves appearing to him and telling him what to do next.

Sound odd? You’d be right in thinking so. Columbia Pictures are in line to produce the romantic flick, with no cast yet attached. Judging by his previous outings, James Franco will be top of his list.

David Gordon Green's next, The Sitter, starring Jonah Hill and Sam Rockwell, opens 22 June 2012.

Are you a Pineapple Express fan? Do you think Q sounds promising? Let us know!

I love the idea! Sounds like a great romantic-comedy on the same tracks as 500 Days Of Summer and those.. a realistic take on love and the fears involved with marriage, with time travelling selves... Could be excellent.. Just hope its better than Your Highness...
