Even though he doesn’t even have a greenlight yet, Peter Morgan has tracked down a President Clinton for his film to follow The Queen: Dennis Quaid.
He’s signed on to The Special Relationship, in which he’ll play Clinton opposite Sheen’s Tony Blair in the third of a trilogy that began with The Deal back on Channel 4.
Oh, and Morgan – who is both writing and directing this outing – has also locked down Julianne Moore to play Hilary Clinton. Can’t wait to see that make-up job.
Relationship will follow the turbulent relationship between the newly elected Blair and his American opposite number.
Morgan will be hoping that HBO, which is backing the film, will give him the go-ahead shortly. With that cast, we can’t see any reason they won’t give it the thumbs up…
