The news has been circling the ‘net for a couple of days (mostly due to Ain’t It Cool talking about the subject), but now Variety has confirmed that Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will all be playing various versions of Heath Ledger’s role, Tony in The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus.
There’s no word yet on how it will be accomplished, but given the magic mirror plot device and director Terry Gilliam’s bubbling imagination, we can only guess that it’ll be something clever. And if it means that Gilliam gets to honour his mate’s legacy by completing Ledger’s final film, that’s all the better.
