Disney has announced a number of dates for your diary, including the release of the fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.
Pirates 5 is due out 10 July 2015 in the US and, as with the preceding films, it will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and see the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. That means it's coming out in the same year as The Avengers 2, Star Wars: Episode VII and Justice League.
The Muppets 2, starring Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell (as well as all the Muppets), will open 21 March 2014.
Disney also announced that Marvel films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (released 4 April 2014) and Guardians Of The Galaxy (released 1 August 2014) will both be in 3D along with Angelina Jolie-starring fairytale Maleficent, due out 2 July 2014.
Here's the full line-up from Disney's announcement:
The Muppets 2 - 21 March 2014
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (3D) - 4 April 2014
Maleficent (3D)- 2 July 2014
Guardians of the Galaxy (3D) - 1 August 2014
Brad Bird's 1952 (3D)- 19 December 2014
Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 - 10 July 2015

Pirates 5? Seriously? I mean.... why? Not to mention part 2 & 3, but the 4th installment was so redundant already i can't even remember what it actually was about. Must have been something with pirates in it. I guess...

It's really easy to answer that questipn ping, On Stranger Tides grossed over $1 billion. Man 2015 is going to be one packed year for Blockbusters.

I would rather they did a Pirates game for the Xbox. Hopefully in the same vein as the Ship battles from Assassins Creed 3. God, those made me cry rainbows, actually more fun than the actual game!

they should do a muppets pirate film instead (if they haven't done that already). Kermit the frog as Jack Sparrow sounds a lot more appealing than another crappy Pirates of the Caribbean/Johnny Depp installment. it really does seem to get easier and easier to work in cinema these days. If i ever win the lotto i am going to become a producer. imagine, if ya can't go and produce a sequel to some stale franchise, then try reboot something. well easy and you will always make money back! Personally, I like the Pirates film and will therefore look forward to another installment. I have more time for this franchise than Bay's Transformer franchise.

Cutthroat Island is a far better film than Pirates in even possible way. I may have only seen the first one but it was enough for me to know i'd rather watch paint dry than suffer thru two hours plus of Johnny Depp acting like an a**e again!!!!

I actually thoroughly enjoyed the Pirates trilogy. It's just the 4th that got me thinking...yeah, it's alright but not relevant or needed. Johnny Depp is my favourite actor of all time, love every film he's done. Just the Pirates franchise should be extinguished before it's burnt out.
