Dragon balled until next year

Fox bump legendary Japananimation to 2009…

The US majors continue to play hippety-hop with their release schedules, post writers' strike, with 20th Century Fox moving manga media adaptation Dragonball eight months from its originally slated 15 August 2008 bow to 3 April 2009.

According to Dark Horizons, it’s all down to needing “more time to develop the anticipated heavy special effects.” Better get going on the wire models for all those dragons and, erm, balls then.

For more Hollywood date switcheroo hit this link, but we never tire of hearing that Uwe Boll’s latest, Postal, is being released against Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull in the US. That sound you hear is our cacophonous laughter echoing through the streets of old London town…
