Since a little franchise called Pirates Of The Caribbean made plenty of doubloons, we’ve been expecting a raft of pirate themed films. But few have made it out of development.
Now DreamWorks is aiming to cut its own slice of the action by chronicling the life of Blackbeard, also known as Edward Teach.
David Franzoni, one of the writers on Gladiator has been tasked with boiling down the buccaneer’s it life into film format with the help of motivational speaker and pirate obsessive Pat Croce.
There’s no director attached yet, but Variety is hoisting the main brace.
